Mukhyamantri Alpasankhyak Protsahan Yojana(MMAPYUK)
Overview
About MMAPYUK
Mukhyamantri Alpasankhyak Protsahan Yojana is a state scheme run by the Minority Welfare department of the Government of Uttarakhand. It pays a cash incentive to students from the state's minority communities who clear demanding competitive examinations, with the money released in stages as a candidate passes each level.
The scheme covers the Union Public Service Commission's civil services examination, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission's state and subordinate services examinations (including the High Court and district judicial services recruitment), and admission to national institutions such as the IITs and IIMs. The incentive is tied to defined milestones, so a payment follows when a candidate reaches a set stage of the examination or takes admission after clearing a national entrance test.
Applicants are permanent residents of Uttarakhand who belong to a notified minority community. The aim is to ease the cost of preparing for and progressing through these exams, so that more students from these communities can enter the civil services and national institutes like the IITs and IIMs. Applications are made online through the state's Apuni Sarkar portal.
