About MMAMBPY
Mukhyamantri Alpasankhyak Medhwi Balika Protsahan Yojana is a state scheme run by the Directorate of Minority Welfare, Uttarakhand. It gives a cash incentive to girl students from minority communities who do well in their board examinations, and a student applies for it as an individual.
The award is tied to results in two examinations, the High School examination or its equivalent and the Intermediate examination or its equivalent. Uttarakhand counts the state madrasa board qualifications as those equivalents, reading the Munshi or Maulvi certificate against the High School exam and the Alim certificate against the Intermediate exam. The purpose is to recognise merit and to help girls from these communities stay in education through the school-leaving years.
The amount rises with marks and starts at 60 percent. At the High School level it runs from ₹10,000 at 60 percent to ₹20,000 at 80 percent; at the Intermediate level it runs from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 across the same bands. The department pays it only in the year the exam is cleared, and forms are submitted offline through the district office, so a student has to apply within that year to receive it.

Eligibility criteria
| The applicant must belong to a minority community in Uttarakhand. | |
| The applicant must be a girl student. | |
| The girl student must have secured 60% or more marks as an institutional candidate in the High School Examination of the Uttarakhand Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Board or its equivalent (Munshi/Maulvi), or in the Intermediate Examination or its equivalent (Alim). | |
| The applicant’s mother/father/guardian should belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or their annual family income from all sources should not exceed: | |
| ₹81,000 in rural areas | |
| ₹1,03,000 in urban areas | |
| The girl student must be unmarried. | |
| The age of the girl student should not be more than 20 years. | |
| A maximum of two daughters from the same family can avail of this benefit. |
