Jharkhand State Scheduled Caste Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme(JSSCPMSS-1)
Overview
About JSSCPMSS-1
The Jharkhand State Scheduled Caste Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is a state scholarship for Scheduled Caste students in Jharkhand who are at the pre-matric stage, that is before they complete matriculation. It is run by the Department of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, Government of Jharkhand.
The department frames the scheme as a way to keep Scheduled Caste students in school through the years before matriculation and to bring down dropout at that stage. The support is paid as cash to the student. The same department handles pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class students across the state.
Applications are made online through Jharkhand's e-Kalyan portal, with Aadhaar-based registration. If you are a Scheduled Caste student in Jharkhand at the pre-matric level, you can check your eligibility and apply there. The income conditions and payment amounts are fixed by the department's scheme rules.
