Overview

About JSSCPMSS

The Jharkhand State Scheduled Caste Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme is a state scholarship for Scheduled Caste students in Jharkhand who have passed matriculation (class 10) and are continuing their studies. It provides financial assistance toward the cost of education beyond school, with the stated aim of raising the participation of SC students in post-matric education.

The scheme is run by the Department of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, Government of Jharkhand. Applications are handled online through the state's e-Kalyan portal, which the same department uses to manage its scholarship schemes for SC, ST, minority and backward-class students.

It is meant for SC students who are residents of Jharkhand and enrolled in a recognised post-matric course. Because post-matric covers study after class 10, eligible courses range from the higher-secondary classes through college and professional programmes. The income limits, course list and award amounts are set by the department and are shown with the scheme's eligibility details.
