Jharkhand State Backward Classes Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme(JSBCPMSS-3)
Overview
About JSBCPMSS-3
The Jharkhand State Backward Classes Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is a state government scholarship for school students from backward classes in Jharkhand. It is run by the Department of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, and administered through the state's e-Kalyan portal, which handles the department's pre-matric and post-matric awards across its SC, ST and Backward Class streams.
The scheme covers the pre-matric stage, classes 1 to 10, and pays cash financial assistance to help backward-class students stay in school and continue their education. Its stated aim is to widen educational participation among these students and to reduce dropout during the school years.
It is meant for students who belong to a backward class in Jharkhand and are studying in classes 1 to 10. The department sets the income ceilings and scholarship rates that decide who qualifies and how much is paid, so check the current criteria for your class and category before applying.
