About GSAE
The Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence is a cash award run by the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking that supports the education and welfare of the Brahmin community in the state. It recognises the topper of a course at a recognised school, college or institute across Andhra Pradesh.
The prize is a one-time cash award for the student who tops the course, paid at the end of SSC, Intermediate or an equivalent such as Polytechnic or ITI, graduation, or a professional course. It marks academic standing at the end of a stage rather than covering fees across a full programme.
Eligibility is limited to students from the Brahmin community whose parents reside in Andhra Pradesh, and applicants must not have drawn money from another government scheme for the same purpose. Read the exact community, domicile and rank conditions on the official page before you apply.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| The student and his/her parents should belong to the Brahmin community. | |
| The parents of the student should reside in Andhra Pradesh. | |
| The student must be a regular (Full Time) student of the course for the academic year 2018-19. | |
| The student should be the topper of the entire course (at the end of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent /Graduation /Professional Edn. Course) in the School/ College/ Institute for the academic year 2018-19. | |
| The toppers of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent and Graduation should have completed the course in Andhra Pradesh. However, toppers of Professional Education Course may have completed the course from anywhere in India but the parents should be residing in Andhra Pradesh. | |
| The student should not have availed himself/herself of any amount under any other government scheme for the same purpose. |
