About DAPJSSS
The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Shramik Pravidhik Shiksha Sahaayata Yojana is a scholarship run by the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the children of registered workers. It is administered by the state's Labour Department through the Uttar Pradesh Labour Welfare Board.
The scheme gives cash assistance towards the cost of technical education. The money is paid annually, with a larger amount for degree courses than for diplomas or certificates, and it covers technical study across degree, diploma and certificate programmes, including ITI and other vocational courses.
It is meant for students in Uttar Pradesh whose parent is a worker registered under the Shops and Establishments Act or the Factories Act, subject to a limit on the parent's earnings. The precise eligibility conditions and payable amounts are set by the Labour Department.

Eligibility criteria
| The worker must be working in an establishment registered under the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962 or the Factories Act, 1948 in Uttar Pradesh. | |
| The monthly salary (basic salary + dearness allowance) of the worker should not exceed ₹15,000/-. | |
