Overview

About CMSSG

The Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme is a merit-based scholarship run by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. It is administered through the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) in Ahmedabad, and students apply online on the state scholarship portal at scholarships.gujarat.gov.in.

The scheme gives cash assistance towards the cost of study for students who have done well in their board examinations and secured admission to professional or higher-education courses in the state. Selection is on merit, based on how you performed in your qualifying examination.

It is meant for meritorious students from Gujarat entering medical and dental courses; engineering and technology along with pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, ayurveda, homoeopathy and para-medical programmes; diploma courses; and general higher education. Income limits, minimum marks and the assistance available for each course group are set out in the scheme's official rules, so check the state portal for the criteria that apply to you before applying.
