Backward Classes Foreign Study Scholarship Scheme(BCFSSS)
Overview
About BCFSSS
The Backward Classes Foreign Study Scholarship Scheme is run by the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It was launched on 1 January 2007 to help students from the state's backward classes meet the cost of studying abroad.
The scheme covers higher study overseas at three stages: a postgraduate course, a Ph.D., and post-research work that follows a doctorate. The benefit is paid as a cash scholarship.
It is meant for backward class students who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. Awards are decided against the department's own conditions on age, academic marks and family income, which are worth checking closely before you apply.
