Overview

About ASYF1HVIDSSTITI

The Awas Sahayta Yojana is a state housing-support scheme run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It backs 100% hearing and visually impaired students enrolled in special trades at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state, so the cost of living away from home does not keep them out of technical training.

The scheme pays a monthly cash allowance towards accommodation, food and related expenses. A student living outside their home residence while training can receive up to ₹4,000 per month; where the ITI provides a hostel place, the amount is ₹2,000 per month for food and other expenses. Funds move by RTGS into the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account, and the benefit runs for the length of the trade, whether it is a one-year or two-year course.

It is meant for individual students, not institutions, and it operates through seven divisional ITIs at Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar and Gwalior. The eligibility conditions and the sanctioned amount are fixed by the department and set out on the scheme's official record.
