Overview

About AADTSRS

The Admission of Adi Dravidar/Tribal Students in Plus One at Reputed Schools is a Tamil Nadu state scheme run by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department. It was introduced on 7 May 2012 to support students from Adi Dravidar and Tribal communities as they enter higher secondary school.

Each year the scheme selects the ten students in every district who scored highest in Class X at government, municipal or welfare schools, and admits them to a reputed private school for Plus One, the first year of higher secondary. Counting all districts, 320 students are covered in a year.

The benefit is a cash payment that covers tuition and boarding at the private school. It is meant for Adi Dravidar and Tribal students from government and welfare schools who finish at the top of their district in Class X. Applications are made at the office of the District Collector.
