Videsh Siksha Yojana (MPBOCWWB)(VSYMPBOCWWB)
Overview
About VSYMPBOCWWB
Videsh Siksha Yojana is a state scheme run by the Madhya Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MPBOCWWB), which works under the state's Labour Department. Since 2019 it has funded higher studies abroad for the children of construction workers registered with the board.
The scheme provides cash assistance so that a registered worker's child can take up a recognised course overseas instead of dropping the plan over cost. It supports up to 50 students a year, meeting tuition and living expenses for higher education at recognised institutions abroad.
It is meant for students whose parent is a registered construction worker holding a valid MPBOCWWB identity card, and who has secured admission to an eligible course abroad. Whether you qualify turns on the parent's board registration and your academic record; the exact marks and duration conditions are set out in the scheme's own eligibility criteria.
