Overview

About YATFS

The Youth Art Training Fellowship Scheme is a state programme run by the Culture Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and listed on the national myScheme portal. It is meant for young people who want to train in an art form under professional guidance rather than on their own.

A selected participant draws a monthly fellowship while undergoing professional training at a government institution, so the stipend and the training run together for the length of the programme.

The scheme is open to individual young artists resident in Madhya Pradesh, and sits within the Culture Department's broader work supporting music, dance, theatre and folk traditions.
