About ASSLWBMP
The Academic Scholarship Scheme is run by the Madhya Pradesh Shram Kalyan Mandal, the state Labour Welfare Board that sits under the Labour Department and manages welfare schemes paid for out of the state Labour Welfare Fund. The board and its fund operate under the M.P. Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982, and this educational scholarship is one of several worker-welfare schemes it offers.
The scheme pays a cash scholarship towards the education of workers' children. It covers students from Class 5 through Class 12 and on into higher education, so a family can keep drawing on it as a child moves up through the school years and into college.
Who qualifies turns on the parent's job rather than the child's course. It is meant for the children of workers employed in factories and establishments in Madhya Pradesh that are covered by the Board, and a worker's family can claim it for up to two children who have passed their previous class. Applications are made online through the state's Shram Kalyan scholarship portal.

| The applicant should be a child of a worker employed in an industrial institution/establishment covered under the M.P. Labour Welfare Fund Act 1982. | |
| The applicant should be studying as a regular student in an educational institution in Madhya Pradesh. | |
| The applicant should have passed the previous class. | |
| The applicant should not be receiving a scholarship from any other department. | |
| The applicant should be studying in Class 5th to 12th, ITI, Polytechnic, General Graduate, Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Paramedical, Nursing, Law, PG Courses, M.E./M.Tech, PGDM, or other management diploma courses. |
