About TCMITFP
The CM IT Fellowship Program is a Chhattisgarh state initiative that funds a two-year, full-time M.Tech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) at IIIT Naya Raipur. The Electronics and Information Technology Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, runs it, and the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) puts it into effect. IIIT Naya Raipur is the academic partner.
Fellows split their time. They take coursework on campus at IIIT Naya Raipur and spend structured periods working inside state departments and district collectorates. The aim is to build a pool of young technologists from the state who can apply data science and AI to the problems of day-to-day governance.
The state government sponsors the degree tuition and pays a monthly stipend across the two years, and each fellow receives a laptop or desktop loaded with the software the course needs. It is meant for graduate and postgraduate engineers who hold a Chhattisgarh domicile and qualify through GATE, pairing a technical master's with hands-on public-sector work.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| The applicant must be an Indian National. | |
| The applicant must hold a Domicile of Chhattisgarh. | |
| The applicant must be upto 30 years of age as of the application deadline. | |
| The applicant must be a graduate or postgraduate student. | |
| The applicant must have qualified for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Computer Science (CS) or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI). | |
| The applicant must have secured a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% or First Class in their qualifying degree. | |
| The applicant belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories is eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CPI. | |
| The applicant is eligible for age relaxations as per the Chhattisgarh Government reservation rules. |
