About AKBHCY
Asangathit Karmakar Ke Bachcho Hetu Chhatravriti Yojana is a scholarship scheme run by the Government of Chhattisgarh for the children of unorganized workers. The state introduced it on 10 April 2018, and it is administered by the Chhattisgarh Unorganised Workers State Social Security Board, which functions under the state Labour Department.
The purpose is to help registered unorganized workers meet the cost of educating their children. The benefit is a cash scholarship, tied to the child's stage of study across the school years and into higher education.
Eligibility runs through the parent's registration: a family qualifies when a parent is enrolled as an unorganized worker with the state board. The scholarship is limited to the first two children of that worker.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| Parent must be registered unorganized worker in Social Security Board. | |
| Scholarship only be provided to the first two sons/daughters of registered unorganized workers. | |
| Contract workers, domestic female workers, porters, and sanitation workers are not eligible for the scholarship. | |
| Students receiving scholarships must complete at least one year of their engineering or medical education course. If they drop out within one year, they must return the scholarship money. | |
| Students can only receive one scholarship, even if they are eligible for multiple scholarships. |
