Overview

About TTSC&BC

Tailoring Training to Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Widows/Destitute Women/Girls is a state welfare scheme in Haryana. It is run by the Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, which is part of the state's Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of SC and BC and Antyodaya (SEWA) Department.

The scheme provides vocational training in tailoring through Kalyan Kendras operated by the department. While a trainee is enrolled, she receives a monthly stipend and support towards raw material, and on completing the one-year course she is given a sewing machine free of cost. The stated purpose is to help the women earn a livelihood through self-employment.

It is meant for Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes widows, destitute women and girls in Haryana who meet the department's age and family-income conditions. You apply and train through the nearest Kalyan Kendra run by the Directorate; the exact eligibility limits and amounts are set out in the official scheme record.
