Subsidy Scheme on Establishment of 25 R.I.R./Kadaknath & 1000 Broiler Bird’s Unit and Stipend for Poultry Farming Training for Scheduled Tribes People of the State(SSKPF)
Overview
About SSKPF
This is a subsidy programme run by the Government of Gujarat for Scheduled Tribe (ST) residents of the state who want to take up poultry farming. It sits under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, part of the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, and the help is given as cash assistance rather than a loan.
The support has two parts. The first is a subsidy towards setting up a poultry unit, built around 25 Rhode Island Red (RIR) or Kadaknath birds together with a 1,000-bird broiler unit, so a beneficiary can start rearing birds at home. The second is a stipend for ST applicants who attend poultry farming training, meant to cover the cost of learning to run the unit.
Eligibility is limited to individual applicants from Scheduled Tribe communities in Gujarat. Animal husbandry benefits in the state are applied for through the government's ikhedut portal and the district animal husbandry offices, where the exact subsidy amounts, unit specifications and the documents you need are set out.
