Overview

About SSGGVN

Swayam Saksham is a state-level scheme in Gujarat, administered by the Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam (GGVN). The Nigam is a development corporation under Gujarat's Social Justice and Empowerment Department, created to support the Rabari and Bharwad communities, whose traditional livelihoods lie in animal husbandry and the dairy trade.

The aim is to help young people become self-reliant after vocational education or training. The scheme provides cash assistance toward setting up a professional or business unit, so that a trained applicant can move from a learned skill into self-employment rather than remaining dependent on hereditary work alone.

GGVN delivers Swayam Saksham alongside its other economic and educational schemes for these communities, and applications are handled through the Nigam's online financing portal. The eligibility conditions and the amount of assistance are fixed by the Nigam, and the current terms are published on its official portal.
