About MSKSCY
The Shaikshanik Chatravriti Yojana is an educational scholarship for the children of workers in Madhya Pradesh. It is run by the Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Board (Shram Kalyan Mandal), the statutory body constituted under the M.P. Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982, the state's Labour Welfare Fund Act. The board draws on the Labour Welfare Fund, which is built from periodic contributions by employers and workers, to pay for welfare measures for workers and their dependants.
The scheme's purpose is to help these children stay in education, and it supports study from the school years through to higher and professional courses. The benefit is a cash scholarship.
It is meant for the children of parents employed in factories and establishments in Madhya Pradesh that are covered by the Labour Welfare Fund Act. The scheme reaches families whose workplaces contribute to the fund, rather than the general student population, and applications are handled through the board's Shram Kalyan online portal.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| Applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh. | |
| The parents of the applicant must be working in a factory or institution established in Madhya Pradesh under the Labor Welfare Fund Act 1982. | |
| Only 2 children in a family are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme. | |
| Children of officers and employees in managerial capacities working in institutions cannot be benefited from this regime. |
Who cannot apply
Exclusions
- According to the provisions of the Act, sons/daughters of officers/employees working in institutions with managerial capacity will not be eligible for this scheme.
What you get
Award & benefits
- Under the scheme, the scholarship amount fixed for each class is provided by the board to the students studying in Class 5th to 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation, ITI, Polytechnic, PGDCA, DCA (Computer Course), B.E., M.B.B.S. M.Sc.
- The scholarship amount will be paid by the student by e-payment through the Regional Office after the approval of the Welfare Commissioner as per the bank details given along with the application.
