About SGSCS
The State Government SC Scholarship (Class 1 to 10) is a state pre-matric scholarship administered by the School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It is meant to support the schooling of Scheduled Caste students in the state by giving them direct financial assistance.
The benefit is a cash scholarship paid once a year and credited straight to the student's own bank account. Who it reaches depends on both class and gender: in Classes 1 to 5 it is limited to Scheduled Caste girl students, while in Classes 6 to 10 it is open to both boys and girls in the Scheduled Caste category.
To be considered, a student must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh and belong to the Scheduled Caste category. The scheme sets no cap on annual family income, so eligibility turns on residence, caste category, and class rather than earnings. Students do not apply on a public portal themselves; they go through their school, where a teacher records their details on the state's education portal.

| Girl students from Class 1 to 5 and all students (both boys and girls) from Class 6 to 10 are eligible for the benefits under the scheme. | |
| There is no restriction on the annual family income of the students. | |
| Note 1: One-time failure in a class is allowed. | |
| Note 2: There is no need to reapply for renewal within the same level (Class 1 to 10). |
What you get
Award & benefits
- Under this scheme, scholarships for Scheduled Caste students are provided at the following rates:
- Class 1 to 5: ₹250/- per year (for girls only) - Class 6 to 8: ₹200/- per year (for boys) and ₹600/- per year (for girls) - Class 9 to 10: ₹600/- per year (for boys) and ₹1,200/- per year (for girls)
- Note: The scholarship will be deposited directly into the student's bank account.
