Overview

About CYUK

This is a state government scholarship in Uttarakhand offered in the name of the Uttarakhand Agricultural Produce Marketing Board, the state's Krishi Utpadan Mandi Parishad. It is run under the Agriculture Department, and the support is paid as a cash benefit to help students from farming and market-working families continue into higher education.

The board was constituted under the Uttarakhand Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2011. From its headquarters at Rudrapur, it regulates the marketing of agricultural produce across the state's mandis and develops market infrastructure. The scholarship is one of the welfare measures it directs back to the community that works within that market system.

The assistance is meant for the sons and daughters of small and marginal farmers, agricultural labourers, and market workers of Uttarakhand. It is aimed at those pursuing higher studies in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, horticulture, and related fields, rather than general courses of study.
