Saraswati Vidya Yojana: Reimbursement of Fees for Diploma/Graduation and Post-Graduation Professional Courses - DNH&DD(SVYRFDGPGPC)
Overview
About SVYRFDGPGPC
This is the fee-reimbursement component of the Saraswati Vidya Yojana, run by the Directorate of Education under the Education Department of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. It supports girl students pursuing professional courses at the diploma, graduation and post-graduation levels.
The scheme reimburses tuition and academic fees so that cost weighs less on a girl student's decision to continue into professional higher education. Reimbursement runs up to ₹2.5 lakh a year for a diploma or undergraduate course and ₹3.5 lakh a year for a post-graduation course, with a hostel allowance of 50% of the charge capped at ₹30,000 a year. The money comes back once fees are paid, rather than as an upfront waiver.
Because it is a reimbursement, students apply after enrolment, within the submission window the Education Department announces for each academic year. The full eligibility conditions and the fee caps that apply at each level are set out in the scheme's own notification.
