Sanskrit Scholarship(SSMP)

No opening date and no closing date exist on either official source; myScheme leaves both fields blank for this scheme. The cycle exists only as the Directorate of Higher Education's advertisement, so watch for that notice rather than wait for a fixed annual window.

The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh, a condition only the myScheme record states, must be enrolled at one of the seven covered levels in a government or aided non-government college, and the annual family income of their parents or guardians must stay within Rs 54,000, per the department's scheme page.

On top of those sit qualifying marks that mirror the ladder itself, as the department publishes them: 50% in the degree examination for the postgraduate rung, 50% in Shastri or an equivalent for Acharya, 50% in 10+2 or an equivalent for the graduate rung, 45% in Purva Madhyama for Shastri, and 45% in Prathama or an equivalent for Uttar Madhyama. Purva Madhyama alone has no percentage attached; entry there rests on merit in the 5th examination.

The myScheme record publishes no exclusion list for this scheme. The boundary sits inside the eligibility conditions themselves: a student at an unaided private college, a student from outside Madhya Pradesh, or a family above the income ceiling falls outside the scheme by definition rather than by any separate disqualification rule.

Whether a current awardee reapplies each year or is carried forward is a question no official source answers: the myScheme record carries no renewal conditions, and the department's page describes only the advertisement round. The binding answer has to come from the Directorate of Higher Education itself.

Every level pays the same monthly figure; the quota is where the levels differ, and the spread is steep. The school-stage Prathama holds 91 of the awards while the two rungs at the top, Acharya and M.A. Classic, carry 7 each, so the bulk of the awards sit where students enter the ladder. The money runs for 10 months of the year and is transferred straight to the applicant's bank account once the Commissioner of Higher Education approves the selection.

Two papers decide the two conditions that matter: the Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate answers the native requirement, and the income certificate answers the ceiling. The previous class marksheet proves the qualifying percentage for the rung, and the bank passbook matters because the award is paid by direct credit, not through the college. The myScheme record closes its list with "any other documents as required", which in practice means the advertisement for a given round can ask for more.

There is no online application. The myScheme record lists the mode as offline and carries no application link, and the department's page describes the round the same way: the Directorate of Higher Education issues an advertisement, the applications that come in are examined, and selection happens within each level's quota, according to the Higher Education Department. Ask at the office of the college where you are enrolled once the advertisement is out, and keep the domicile, income and marksheet papers ready before it appears.
