Overview

About RTFTFSCSSTIH

The Reimbursement of Tuition Fee and Transport Facility scheme is a Scheduled Castes welfare measure run by the Department of Technical Education, Haryana, based in Panchkula. It operates under the state's Scheduled Castes Sub Plan (SCSP), the budget head that earmarks funds for Scheduled Caste students, and it covers those enrolled in technical institutions across Haryana.

It is a composite scheme that combines two benefits. One part reimburses the tuition fee an eligible student has paid; the other reimburses the cost of a state transport bus pass or train pass used to reach the institution. The purpose is to bring down the recurring cost of technical education so that a student's Scheduled Caste background does not stand in the way of finishing a diploma or degree.

The scheme is for Scheduled Caste students studying AICTE-approved technical courses through the regular mode, at government, government-aided or private institutions recognised by the Department of Technical Education in Haryana. The transport component is meant for students who commute to their institution; those staying in hostels are not reimbursed for it. Applications and the full set of conditions are administered by the department itself.
