Overview

About SSCSSGI

The Scholarship to Scheduled Castes Students Studying in Government ITIs is a state scholarship run by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Government of Haryana. It was introduced in 2017-18 for students from Scheduled Caste communities enrolled at government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state.

Funding for the scheme comes entirely from the Haryana government, and it is delivered through the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, which runs the state's ITIs. The support is a cash benefit: a monthly scholarship for each academic year, paid alongside a reimbursement of tuition fees.

The aim is to encourage Scheduled Caste youth to take up vocational and skill-development training and to help them move into self-employment or work in the private and government sectors. It is limited to SC students studying at Haryana's government ITIs, and students apply through the head or principal of the institute where they are enrolled.
