Overview

About PMSSSEBC

This is a state scholarship run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, for students from Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). It gives a cash scholarship to eligible children studying in Standards 1 to 10, the pre-matric stage of schooling in the state, with eligibility in the higher classes tied to a household income limit.

Within the department, the Director, Developing Castes Welfare administers the scheme, and applications are handled through the Digital Gujarat scholarship portal. The aim is to support SEBC families through the school years so that fewer children leave before matriculation and more go on to the post-matric stage.
