Overview

About PMSSNTDT

This Gujarat scholarship supports school students from the state's nomadic and denotified tribe communities through their pre-matric years. It runs under the state's Social Justice and Empowerment Department, and is administered by its Directorate of Developing Castes Welfare, the body responsible for the welfare of nomadic and denotified tribes.

The scheme covers the pre-matric years of schooling, standards 1 through 10. Eligible students receive an annual cash scholarship, paid to the student, to help meet the cost of staying in school through to the SSC (standard 10) examination.

It is meant for students from nomadic and denotified tribe communities studying in these classes in Gujarat. What a student can claim depends on the class, and in the senior classes on family income, so eligibility narrows as students move up the school.
