Overview

About PSP

The Prathibha Scholarship Programme is a merit scholarship run by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), the autonomous body under Kerala's Science and Technology Department. It supports students of Kerala origin who have done well in the Higher Secondary examination and gone on to study the basic and natural sciences at recognised institutions in India.

Its stated aim is to encourage bright students towards higher studies and a career in science. The benefit is a tiered annual scholarship across the undergraduate and postgraduate years, paid subject to the student meeting the minimum credit requirements for continuation.

The programme is meant for meritorious science students, not for general degree streams. Applicants must be of Kerala origin, must have qualified the Higher Secondary examination with a strong result, and must have secured admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in the basic or natural sciences. Exact marks thresholds, award amounts and reservation shares are set by KSCSTE for each cycle.
