Overview

About PDEEA

The Pandit Deendayal Educational Excellence Award is a state-level recognition run by the Education Department of Uttarakhand. It rewards performance in the Uttarakhand Board's High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations, honouring both the schools that post the strongest board results and the students who finish at the top of the state merit list.

Top schools have received the Chief Minister's Trophy, certificates of appreciation and a cash award, while students who place in the top positions of the Class 10 and Class 12 results are felicitated for their board performance.

The honour is given in yearly rounds, with the High School and Intermediate stages drawn up as separate lists. One round covered 50 high schools and 50 intermediate colleges along with their top-scoring students; another felicitated 75 students who secured top-10 ranks across the two boards.
