About NSKBGC
The Nirman Shramikon Ke Bacchon Hetu Nishulk Ganvesh Evam Pustak Copy Hetu Sahaayata Raashi Yojana is a Chhattisgarh state welfare scheme for the children of registered construction workers. It is run by the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, the statutory body under the state Labour Department that administers welfare funds for building and other construction workers.
The benefit is a cash amount paid to help a family meet the cost of a child's school uniform (ganvesh) and books and copies. It is paid as direct financial assistance once a year rather than handed over as goods.
The scheme is for children whose parent is registered with the Welfare Board; a worker who has not yet registered has to do so before claiming. Assistance covers up to the first two children of a registered worker. It is disbursed after the family's claim is approved.
