Overview

About MYYYT

Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana-Special is a Tripura state scheme run by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Tripura. It gives a one-time cash grant towards a smartphone to students who studied the final year of an undergraduate degree at a government college, institute or university in Tripura during the 2022-23 academic year. The scheme's stated aim is to digitally empower these students and help them make use of the advantages of an interconnected world.

The grant is ₹5,000 or the cost of the phone, whichever is lower, and is credited to the applicant's own bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer. It can be claimed once in a lifetime. To qualify, an applicant must be domiciled in Tripura with a valid ration card, must have bought the phone in their own or a parent's name on or after 1 July 2022, and must have cleared the year before the final year.

Eligibility is tied to this specific 2022-23 cohort rather than to any student currently in a final year. The application window, required documents and current status are fixed by the official notification, so check those against the source before relying on the scheme.
