Overview

About PPPK

Prak Pariksha Prashikshan Kendra is a free coaching scheme run by the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. It runs designated pre-examination training centres that prepare candidates for competitive government examinations such as the Civil Services and Staff Selection Commission tests, offering expert teaching, study material and mentoring at no charge.

The main benefit is the training itself, given in kind at the centres. Candidates who keep 75% attendance also receive an incentive of ₹3,000. The scheme is meant for permanent residents of Bihar from Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class communities whose family income from all sources stays within ₹3,00,000 a year.

A candidate's age and minimum qualifications are judged against the requirements of whichever competitive examination they are preparing for, so eligibility depends partly on the target exam. Applications are made by submitting the prescribed form to the director of the relevant training centre, in person or by registered or speed post.
