Overview

About Msvss

The Meritorious Scholarships to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Secondary Schools is a state scholarship in Maharashtra, run by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department. It supports students from the Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT) and Special Backward Class (SBC) communities who are enrolled in secondary school.

The scheme is a merit award. It goes to VJNT and SBC students in the secondary standards who ranked first or second among backward-class students in the previous year's examination.

The award is administered at the district level by the District Social Welfare Officer of the Zilla Parishad. Selection is based on rank, so eligible students do not have to submit a separate application.
