Merit Scholarship: Polytechnic Institutions(MSPI)
Overview
About MSPI
Merit Scholarship: Polytechnic Institutions is a state scholarship run by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. It supports students studying at recognised polytechnic institutions in the state, at the diploma level of technical education.
The scheme rewards merit. It is meant for students who earn a place on the merit list after taking admission to a polytechnic in Chhattisgarh, and it pays a fixed monthly cash amount across the successful years of the diploma course. The benefit is direct cash, intended to help meritorious diploma students meet the running costs of their study.
Eligibility turns on residence in Chhattisgarh, admission to a polytechnic in the state, and a place on the merit list, with the qualifying marks and the number of scholarships fixed by the department each year. It is a scheme for individual students rather than for institutions.
