About MBMBDCCS
Maa-Badi is a Rajasthan state scheme run by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan. It sets up community-based centres in remote tribal areas so that out-of-school children can get basic primary education close to home, with a daily meal built into the day. Delivery on the ground runs through the Tribal Area Development Project Office together with local village development committees.
The centres are for children aged 6 to 12 from Scheduled Tribe, Kathodi and Sahariya communities, mainly in remote hamlets that have no primary school nearby. Alongside teaching classes 1 to 4, they provide breakfast and a mid-day meal, uniforms, shoes and learning material, and act as a base to spread awareness about health, nutrition and sanitation. Enrolment gives preference to girls.
The help is given in kind rather than as cash, so it reaches a child as schooling, food and school supplies rather than a bank transfer. The scheme runs in two forms, a full-day day-care centre and a Maa-Badi centre that follows the regular school calendar, and it employs educated tribal youth and women from the same villages as facilitators and assistants.

Eligibility criteria
| The applicant should be a child aged 6 to 12 years. | |

| The applicant should reside in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Sirohi, or Rajsamand districts. | |
| The applicant should not currently be enrolled in any formal school. | |
| The applicant should reside in areas where the nearest school is at least 1.5–2 km away. |

- At these centers, children are provided following benefits: Free primary education (classes 1st to 4th).- Breakfast and nutritious mid-day meals.
- Free uniforms, school bags, shoes, socks, sweaters, ties, and belts.
- Free sports equipment etc.
- Day-Care Centre Specific Benefits: Full-day (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) operation.
