Overview

About NSUAB

The Labour Department of Rajasthan runs this scheme through its Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board. It is an incentive for registered construction workers and their dependent children who clear the preliminary stage of a competitive examination for the Indian Administrative Service or the Rajasthan Administrative Service.

The benefit is a cash award, paid once a candidate clears the preliminary examination. It is meant to lower the cost of sitting these examinations for families in the construction trade.

Who it is for: construction workers registered with the board, and their dependent children. The Rajasthan Administrative Service is a state civil service whose recruitment examination is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, and RAS officers can be promoted into the Indian Administrative Service later in their careers.
