Overview

About MHVY-HETE

Mukhyamantri Hunar Vikas Yojana (Higher Education/Technical Education) is a Rajasthan state scheme run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. It offers financial assistance to boys and girls who have been raised under the state's Palanhar Scheme, so they can continue into higher or technical education after finishing school.

The Palanhar Scheme supports orphaned and destitute children by paying a guardian to bring them up in a family setting rather than an institution, with assistance continuing while they stay enrolled in school. This scheme carries that support forward: once a Palanhar beneficiary has completed schooling, the state helps fund further study, with a stated preference for employment-oriented courses chosen to match the student's qualifications and interests.
