Internship Scheme By The Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI)(ISUIDAI)
Overview
About ISUIDAI
The UIDAI Internship Scheme is run by the Unique Identification Authority of India, the statutory body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) that issues Aadhaar. UIDAI was established under the Aadhaar Act, 2016 and has functioned as a statutory authority since 12 July 2016. The internship gives students first-hand work experience inside the organisation under the guidance of a mentor.
Interns are placed across UIDAI's Head Office in New Delhi, its Technology Centre in Bengaluru, and its regional and state offices. The work spans application development, legal domains such as cyber law and the IT Act, and general management, so what you are exposed to depends on the track you are matched to. UIDAI pays a monthly stipend for the internship period, which runs from a minimum of six weeks up to twelve months.
The scheme is open to Indian citizens who are bonafide students at a recognised university or institution. It draws from technical disciplines such as engineering, design and computer applications, and from other fields including law, commerce, finance, mass communication, mathematics and statistics, along with PhD and research scholars working in areas close to UIDAI's mandate. Selection is tied to a student's academic record, and an intern must complete the agreed period to receive a certificate.
