Overview

About IVRI IS

The IVRI Institute Scholarship is a financial-assistance award given by the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) to its postgraduate (M.V.Sc.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) students. IVRI, at Izatnagar in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was established in 1889 and has been a deemed university since 1983. It functions under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), which reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education within the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, so myScheme lists this as a central scheme.

The award is meant for IVRI's own M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. students, not applicants from other institutions. As a deemed university, IVRI runs its own postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the veterinary and animal sciences, and this scheme supports students enrolled in them. On myScheme it is recorded as a composite benefit. The eligibility conditions and the amount awarded are set out in full below.
