Overview

About ISMSEBCGC

The Incentive Scheme for Meritorious Students of Economically Backward Class of General Category is a Rajasthan government award for students who finish at the top of the state board merit list. It is run by the Education (Elementary and Secondary) Department of the Government of Rajasthan, the department that oversees the state's school system.

The scheme is meant for students in the General category who are classified as Economically Backward Class and who appear in the state-level merit list of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) at Ajmer. RBSE conducts the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations across Rajasthan, and the award covers the highest-ranked students in Class 10 and in each stream of Class 12. Recognition is a one-time payment together with a certificate of appreciation.

Only the highest-ranked students each year qualify. If you are a Rajasthan Board student from the General category who falls under the Economically Backward Class definition, your place on the RBSE merit list is what decides whether the incentive reaches you.
