Overview

About GFASGCIWES1T4SSOSU

The Grant of Financial Assistance for Supply of One Set of Uniform is a welfare scheme run by the Goa Labour Welfare Board, which works under the Commissioner of Labour in the state's Labour and Employment Department. It is one of a set of education-linked benefits the Board offers to the families of industrial workers and employees in Goa.

The scheme covers children in the early primary years, from the 1st to the 4th standard. It provides a cash grant towards one set of school uniform for each eligible child, so that the cost of kitting out a child for school does not fall entirely on the worker's household.

You apply through your employer to the Secretary, Goa Labour Welfare Board, at Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji. The benefit is meant for the school-going children of workers in establishments covered by the Board, and it runs alongside the Board's separate assistance for textbooks and notebooks and its scholarship scheme.
