About HNSS
The Home Nursing Scholarship Scheme is a cash scholarship from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa. It helps students meet the cost of home nursing and allied nursing training at an institution recognised by the State or Central Government.
The award covers a certificate course in home nursing, a diploma in home nursing, a degree in nursing, or a health worker course. To qualify, a student must have been born in Goa or have lived in the state for at least 15 continuous years, and the family's annual income from all sources must not exceed ₹1,50,000.
The scholarship supports reserved-category students in Goa, including those from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class communities. Applications are made online through the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal (cmscholarship.goa.gov.in). A student who holds this scholarship cannot draw another scholarship or stipend for the same course.
