About GGSSNC-GOA
The State Scholarship to NDA Cadets is run by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, and is listed on myScheme, the Government of India's central scheme portal. It provides cash support to cadets from Goa who are undergoing training at the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, near Pune.
The scheme is meant for cadets from economically weaker backgrounds. Its stated aim is to encourage young people from lower-income families in Goa to take up the training and service that a defence career demands, a path many might otherwise struggle to afford. The benefit comes as a monthly scholarship through the training period along with a one-time outfit allowance, both paid in cash.
You are within scope if you were born in Goa or hold long-standing domicile in the state, and if your family income falls below the ceiling the scheme sets. A cadet already drawing another scholarship or freeship is not covered. Applications are made offline through the Directorate of Higher Education at Porvorim rather than online.

Eligibility criteria
| The cadet should have been born in Goa and/or domiciled in Goa for a period of at least 15 years. | |
| The income limit of the cadet’s parents/ guardians shall not exceed ₹ 15,000/- per month (₹ 1,80,000 per annum). | |
| In case the cadet is SC/ST/OBC, the income limit of the cadet’s parents/ guardians shall not exceed ₹ 37,500/- per month (₹ 4,50,000 per annum). | |
| The cadet should not be receiving financial assistance/scholarship/freeship from any other source. |

- Scholarship of ₹ 1,000/- per month during the period of training (subject to a maximum of 24 months or duration of the course whichever is less).1. One Time Outfit Allowance of ₹ 12,000/-.
