About GLPSC1
The Girls Literacy Promotion Scheme for Class 11th is a Madhya Pradesh government scholarship for girls from De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities, run by the state's Department of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Welfare. It gives a one-time cash incentive of ₹3,000 to a girl who takes admission in Class 11 for the first time.
The aim is to keep girls from these communities in school after Class 10 rather than have them drop out at the higher secondary stage. The benefit is paid as direct cash, not a loan or a fee reimbursement, so there is nothing to repay.
Eligibility is narrow. It is meant for girls from Madhya Pradesh's De-notified, Nomadic or Semi-Nomadic communities who are entering Class 11 for the first time and studying in a recognised institution. Girls outside these communities, or those repeating the year, fall outside its scope.
