Food Bill Assistance for Medical & Engineering Students of Nomadic Tribes & Denotified Tribes(FBAMESNTDNT)
Overview
About FBAMESNTDNT
Food Bill Assistance for Medical & Engineering Students of Nomadic Tribes & Denotified Tribes is a Gujarat state scholarship that helps students from Nomadic Tribes (NT) and Denotified Tribes (DNT) meet the recurring cost of meals during their studies. It is run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, and implemented through the Director, Developing Castes Welfare.
The support is a cash benefit paid towards mess or canteen bills across the academic year, so that food costs are less likely to interrupt a full-time medical or engineering course. Payments are made by direct benefit transfer against those bills.
The scheme is meant for NT and DNT students enrolled in recognised medical or engineering programmes in Gujarat. Applicants are identified through Aadhaar, so a student without an Aadhaar number is expected to enrol before applying. Income and other conditions are fixed by the department; the exact limits and amount are listed with the scheme's eligibility details.
