Economic Help To Tribal Girls For Higher Education (Class 11 & 12)(EHFTG)
Overview
About EHFTG
Economic Help to Tribal Girls for Higher Education (Class 11 & 12) is a state scholarship run by the Tribal Area Development Department of the Government of Rajasthan. Rajasthan started the scheme in 2011 to support Scheduled Tribe girls who are studying the higher secondary years, Class 11 and Class 12, as regular students in government schools.
The support is a single, one-time cash grant. Its purpose is to help tribal girls continue past Class 10 into the higher secondary stage instead of leaving school.
To qualify, a student must be a native of Rajasthan, belong to a Scheduled Tribe, and be studying regularly in Class 11 or 12 at a government school. The scheme also carries an income condition, since the parent or guardian must not be an income-tax payer, and girls living in government-run hostels are not eligible for it. Applications are made online through Rajasthan's single sign-on portal, RajSSO, where the scheme sits among the other educational incentives the Tribal Area Development Department offers Scheduled Tribe students in the state.
