Overview

About EHSTGS

The Economic Help to Sahariya Tribal Girl Students (Class 11 and 12) scheme is run by the Tribal Area Development Department of the Government of Rajasthan. It gives cash support to girls of the Sahariya community who are studying in Class 11 and 12 at government schools in the state.

The Sahariya are recognised as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group, and their population is concentrated in Baran district, chiefly the Kishanganj and Shahbad tehsils. By putting money in the hands of eligible students, the scheme is meant to reduce the everyday cost of continuing to higher secondary and to encourage girls to stay in school.

The benefit is a cash incentive credited directly to the student's bank account, and it is applied for online through the department's portal for TAD educational incentive schemes.
