Overview

About CM YKY

The Chief Minister's Yuva Kaushal Yojana (CM YKY) is a state skill-development scheme run by the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. It was launched in 2018 to train young people in the state and help them move into private-sector jobs.

The scheme funds vocational training delivered by empanelled training providers, both inside Arunachal Pradesh and outside the state, and supports trainees with a stipend while they train. It is a composite benefit: the training, the stipend, and support such as boarding and travel for out-of-state courses sit under one scheme, and the state government carries the cost. Training providers are held to a minimum placement target for the youth they train.

It is meant for young residents of Arunachal Pradesh who want structured vocational training and a route into private-sector employment. Applications go through the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department.
