Chief Minister BC & EBC Chhatravas Anudan Yojana(CMBCCAY)
Overview
About CMBCCAY
The Chief Minister BC & EBC Chhatravas Anudan Yojana is a welfare scheme of the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. It supports students from Backward Class (BC) and Extremely Backward Class (EBC) families who live in the department's government hostels while they study.
Students admitted to and residing in these hostels receive a monthly cash grant. The grant is meant to ease the recurring cost of board and lodging, so that the expense of staying near a college or school does not push a student to drop out.
Eligibility follows residence. The benefit reaches BC and EBC students who hold a place in one of the department's government hostels in Bihar, which the department operates for backward-class students across the state's districts.
